General Notes: The first record for James Reynolds was in the 1822 Dublin Almanac; page 120 which listed a James Reynolds, Cutler, 109 Coombe (may also be listing for his father, James). The same was also listed in the 1828 Dublin Almanac; page 116. He appears in subsequent Dublin City directories at: 13 Fishamble St. (1837); St Brides St, (1844) near St. Patrick's Cathedral, occupation; Cutler and Surgeon's Artist; 2 Mount Pleasant Ave Uppr (1858) and "4 York St", presumably a commercial premise.
Saunder's News-Letter, Dublin [6 May 1836] reported Insolvent Debtors a; "James Reynolds, late of the Coombe, Dublin, cutler".

Supporting evidence is that Jane's second son, John Boyd Reynolds, was named in honor of her father. The first born sons of her daughters Annie and Lizzie were; William Boyd Monk and John Boyd Johnston, further evidence the last name was Boyd.

At the 1911 census her name was given as Margaret Dodd-Beckett, age 78, born Dublin, a widow and an annuitant.
